A distribution box (DB box) is a central hub for safely distributing electrical power, designed with protective devices, organized wiring, and optimized layout to ensure efficiency, safety, and adaptability for residential, commercial, or industrial applications.Core Components

A typical distribution box houses several essential components that ensure safe and reliable operation:

  • Circuit Breakers (MCB, MCCB, RCCB): Protect circuits from overloads and short circuits, allowing easy reset after faults .
  • Fuses: Older protection devices that disconnect power when current exceeds limits; less common in modern installations .
  • Bus Bars: Conductive bars that distribute power to multiple circuits; often shrouded for safety .
