Mark and Drill Holes Align the junction box on the wall using a spirit level to ensure it is straight. Mark the screw positions on the wall. Drill pilot holes appropriate for the wall type (drywall, concrete, or brick) and insert wall anchors or dowels to provide a secure hold . 3. Secure the Box Place the junction box over the anchors and fasten it with screws. For plastic enclosures, avoid over-tightening to prevent cracking. Ensure the box is firmly attached and does not wobble . 4. Route the Fiber Cables Feed the incoming fiber cable through the designated entry port, using grommets or cable glands to protect the fiber. Leave a service loop of 10–15 cm inside the box to allow for future adjustments. Secure the cable with internal clips or ties to prevent movement . 5. Prepare and Connect Fibers Carefully strip the outer jacket, buffer, and coating from the fiber using a fiber stripper. Cleave the fiber ends cleanly with a fiber cleaver and clean them to remove dust or debris. Insert the fibers into the splice trays or adapters according to the manufacturer's instructions . 6. Test and Maintain After installation, check that all connections are tight and test the fiber with an optical test device if available. Keep the box free of dust and avoid kinking or crushing the cables. Regularly inspect connections and tighten any loose components to maintain performance .
